Company history
The revenue of Galaktika Corporation made 33.7 million US Dollars in 2006, exceeding the revenue for 2005 by 36%. 5.5 million US Dollars was invested in development of new solutions and technologies, which made 16% of the corporation revenue. Over 200 companies located in various regions of Russia and the states of the former Soviet Union are members of Galaktika Corporation.
In 2006, version 8.1 of Galaktika ERP was released. New solutions such as Galaktika BI Sales (which is part of Galaktika Business Intelligence set of applications), Galaktika Consolidation, and Galaktika Order Tracking, based upon Galaktika Ranet platform, were included in Galaktika Business Suite.
In 2006, Galaktika and its American partner, a company named Galantis, offered Enterprise Content Management – Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions to Russian companies. Galantis solutions are focused on automation of such tasks as contract management (approval and implementation control), loan granting administration, medical data processing and storage, real-time access to necessary data, maintenance and administering of insurance policies, claim settlement, and management of administrative and other flow of documents.
One of the projects of the year 2006 was launching Competence centres which included branches or companies with expertise and successful background in implementation of automation projects in various fields of management. For this purpose, “expertise” means deep knowledge of processes in a certain application environment and excellent understanding of Galaktika ERP capabilities for automation of these processes. To become a Competence centre, a company has to be an entity within Galaktika Corporation or its partner company.
Participation of business architects who are specialists possessing expert knowledge and rich experience in various fields, can be named among new services in implementation of solutions developed by the corporation. Good knowledge of both the application area and the capabilities of Galaktika ERP allow for offering the customer an optimal solution for addressing company management tasks by means of our system.
The development of services in the field of Galaktika ERP operation maintenance is first of all focused on increased responsiveness of Galaktika staff to users’ requests. A function of submitting requests in online mode using a web-interface of the corporate Help Desk website has been introduced. All requests are processed ant transferred to respective specialists in automatic mode.
In 2006, 133 companies belonging to different areas of business selected the solutions developed by the corporation, and the total number of Galaktika customers exceeded 6000.
